Raúl Contreras Herrera

AI that answers the phone. Classrooms that ship real games. Books you read like film.

Three efforts, one standard: build the thing properly, then show people how it was built.

Act I

Jugable

Education, and the games that prove it

People learn to build by building something playable.

  • 16games playable on the arcade
  • 12age of the youngest author on it
  • 65tools in the MCP server I published
  • 4hparent and child workshop
The Jugable site — 'Tu primer juego', presential game development classes in Tijuana

A four-hour session a parent books for themselves and their child — $1,200 for the pair, $200 for a second child. They arrive with drawings the kid already made and leave with something that runs, and the code is written by the person learning it rather than watched over their shoulder.

My background is educational psychology. That is why the room is built the way it is, and it is the part these workshops usually skip.

Zafiro is twelve. He built Neon Survivor in class — survive the swarm, collect crystals, and pick an evolution every time you level — and it is published on the arcade under his own name, next to mine.

When a class needed a tool that did not exist, I wrote it and published it. It is an MCP server for RPG Maker XP — 65 tools, the only one for that engine, free and open source, listed in the official MCP registry.

Websites al Pastor

AI systems for businesses that answer to customers

The phone gets answered. The job gets booked. The follow-up actually happens.

  • 61production AI agents
  • 700+tools across 140 modules
  • 9live customer phone lines
  • 5+engineers trained and promoted
Websites al Pastor — 'Contesta. Agenda. Vende.', Chalán as an AI employee on WhatsApp

Agents that take live customer calls, send the texts, qualify the enquiry and run the workflow behind it — in English and Spanish, on real phone numbers, for real businesses. That is the enterprise practice, and it is what I am hired to build.

The same machinery, productised, is aimed at Mexican small business: 4.9 million of them, ninety-nine percent of the country's companies, almost all running the whole operation out of one WhatsApp inbox. They do not need a better website. They need to stop losing the customer who messaged at eight and got an answer at six.

Todo lo que necesita tu negocio. Sin rentas mensuales. Sin empleados extra.

  • The brain

    Chalán

An AI employee on WhatsApp — receptionist, salesperson and assistant, answering around the clock for less than minimum wage. Eight agents, each named for the job a person would hold.

    The Stack

Self-hosted CRM, email, booking, contracts, automation and monitoring — owned outright rather than rented monthly.

Act III

Beatbound

Premium editions, scored like film

Your book, scored like film.

  • 2titles produced end to end
  • 450beats scored
  • 28beats in a single chapter
  • 18/18EN-ES parity, line for line
The Beatbound deck view — a chapter as beat cards with scene and thread tags and transition controlsCut like filmEvery beat is a card, tagged to a scene and a narrative thread, with WARP, CUT or SKY between it and the next. Split it, reorder it, drag it.
  • The Beatbound codex — named canon terms with definitionsCanon that holdsA codex of named terms linked into the prose, so a long work stays consistent with itself across nineteen chapters.
  • The Beatbound parity report showing no structural issuesParity, checkedA structural gate over both languages: line parity, orphaned codex references, empty beats. Run per chapter, before anything ships.
  • The Beatbound table view — English and Spanish columns with mood gradingBoth languages, alwaysEnglish and Spanish sit side by side while you write, with the mood grade for each beat. Translation is not a later step here.

A manuscript comes in as prose. It leaves as an edition: broken into beats, each one tagged to a scene and a thread, graded for mood, and typeset against art that moves with it. Readers move through it panel by panel the way they would watch something, in English or Spanish, checked line for line.

That is a production service with a real tool behind it, not a template. Authors keep the work and pay for the making — which is vanity publishing, said without flinching, and the reason it can be this good is that nobody is waiting for a publisher to say yes.

  • BeatsProse broken into numbered beats, each tagged to a scene and a narrative thread.
  • MoodEvery beat graded on a scale that drives the art, the colour and the pacing around it.
  • ParityEnglish and Spanish side by side in the editor, with a dedicated view for checking them line for line.
  • CodexCanon kept alongside the text, so a long work stays consistent with itself.
  • The reader: a stolen ship lifting over a smokestack harbour at dusk

Behind them, the alarm went up, and the whole harbor began clearing its throat to shout thieves.

  • The reader: the cockpit dome filled with gold light

“Three years I fed a current-rig on the salvage floor. You learn to hear what a machine wants.”

  • The reader: a white flare filling the frame as the ship warps

    The world let go.

  • The reader: cracked teal seams of light across black space

Space, yes: black, deep, but broken. And it was beautiful.

Raul Contreras escribe horror desde Tijuana. De día construye sistemas de inteligencia artificial. De noche, construye la manera de leerlo. Creció con Goosebumps, Tales from the Crypt y las leyendas que le contaban para que no saliera de noche. Ahora las escribe él.

The technical work and the creative work were never separate.

Call centre floor at nineteen, promoted up to operations manager, six years running teams before I shipped software for a living. What I am actually good at is taking something from nothing to running — and then handing it over still running, to people I have trained.
